As part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Lisa Tepper Bates, CEO of United Way of Connecticut, joined Ann Dagle, founder of Brian’s Healing Hearts, on WFSB’s Sunday Spotlight to discuss suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and the importance of connecting people to support. The conversation highlighted the critical role of Connecticut’s 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and encouraged individuals, families, and communities to recognize warning signs, reduce stigma, and reach out for help when needed. The segment reinforced an important message: support is available, and no one has to face a crisis alone.
