Sherri Sutera

Sherri Sutera, United Way of Connecticut (UWCT) Senior Vice President Child Care Services, has more than three decades of experience in the nonprofit sector of early childhood.

Sherri is responsible for the oversight and management of UWCT’s Child Care Services Division, consisting of two major state funded programs—Care 4 Kids child care subsidy program and 211 Child Care resource and referral service.

Throughout her career, she has been an advocate for connecting children and families to quality child care. Working with Department of Emergency Services & Public Protection, she helped to develop an Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery plan for CT’s early care system. She also worked with a team of appointed Connecticut stakeholders to develop a plan for a Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) and Data Systems for the Governor’s Early Childhood Cabinet.

Sherri holds a BA in Communications with a marketing concentration from the University of Connecticut.
