Providing Peace of Mind and Support

The CT Paid Leave Authority serves a growing need by providing financial relief to Connecticut families, allowing individuals to care for a loved one or themselves without having to worry about lost income. A quasi-public agency, the CT Paid Leave Authority was established in 2019 to administer a Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program that gives employees access to income replacement benefits when they must step away from work for life events.

United Way of CT 211 has served as the customer service arm of CT Paid Leave since the program’s inception. When CT Paid Leave receives a customer support request through ctpaidleave.org, our subject matter experts answer the call, responding to questions, collecting additional information and connecting clients directly to CT Paid Leave if they require specialized attention.
