Leo Pellerin

Chief Information Officer

Leo Pellerin is a visionary technology executive with more than 15 years of dedicated service at United Way of Connecticut, where he has been instrumental in developing innovative solutions that deliver meaningful insights and support to communities across the state. As Chief Information Officer, Leo brings a rare blend of strategic foresight and hands-on expertise across the full spectrum of IT disciplines.

His career spans entrepreneurial ventures and enterprise leadership, including co-founding Digiwize, a web development firm and serving as Director of Network and Open Systems at Nerac, a research and advisory firm supporting innovation-driven companies. Leo is widely recognized for his ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for stakeholders at all levels.

A forward-thinking leader, Leo has led transformative initiatives in artificial intelligence, cloud migration, SaaS integration, cybersecurity, call center optimization and web application development. His vendor management acumen and infrastructure design capabilities have consistently driven operational excellence and digital innovation.

Beyond his professional achievements, Leo is deeply committed to advancing the IT profession and supporting future generations of technology leaders. He serves on the national board of the Society for Information Management (SIM), a premier organization of more than 5,000 senior IT executives. He also contributes to education and public service as a member of the Advisory Board for Pathways Academy of Technology and Design in Hartford and as a member of the State of Connecticut’s Cybersecurity Committee.

Leo earned his BS in Computer Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He lives along the Connecticut shoreline with his wife of 35 years and their two dogs. When he’s not working, you’ll often find him enjoying time on the water or relaxing at the beach.
