Katie Longley is a seasoned financial and operations executive with more than 20 years of leadership in finance, human resources and organizational management across higher education and corporate settings.
As COO of United Way of Connecticut, Katie oversees Finance, Support Services and Human Resources, driving fiscal stewardship, operational efficiency and collaboration across departments to advance the organization’s mission and statewide impact.
Before joining UWCT, Katie served as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where she led planning and oversight for Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Information Technology, Risk Management and Public Safety. Earlier in her career, she held senior financial leadership roles at Abilene Christian University in Texas, after beginning her career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Katie holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University, and she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She also serves on the Finance Committee for the Town of Belchertown, Massachusetts.
She lives in Belchertown, MA, with her husband Donny (a metal artist who insists rust is a “finish”) and their two teenage sons who keep the family on the move with football, skiing, fishing and track.
