HUSKY Infoline

HUSKY Infoline is a specialized unit of the United Way of Connecticut that has served over 1.2 million Connecticut residents since its inception in 1998. HUSKY Infoline has a long and successful history of partnering with the State to help families navigate the HUSKY program. A call to 877-CT-HUSKY connects residents to knowledgeable telephone care coordinators who are ready to advocate for HUSKY clients to help them get the healthcare they need. The current proposed State budget calls for the elimination of HUSKY Infoline. This budget cut will impact many of the nearly 350,000 state residents enrolled in the program. Stay in the Game

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and United Way of Connecticut is partnering with Connecticut Public Television to raise awareness about the importance of colorectal cancer screenings. CPTV will air a live town meeting on March 24 at 8 pm with rebroadcasts on March 26 and 28. The program focuses on creating a better understanding of colorectal cancer. United Way 2-1-1 has a listing of the colorectal screening sites and program eligibility guidelines. UWC is pleased to partner with CPTV in this important endeavor.
